5 Weeks Pregnant...is Benadryl OK for Allerigies?

I have taken Zyrtec-D for several months for my allergies. Once I found out I was pregnant (Monday) my Dr. told me to stop taking it. Now, I am really congested and my skin is very dry and itchy. I called my Dr. and she told me to take one Benadryl tonight, She said I should take it to prevent the risk of the congestion turning into an infection. I am so scared to take it though. Has anyone else taken Benadryl in early pregnancy?

Yes, I took benadryl at the beginninbg of my pregancy. It will help you sleep too :)

Yep! I take it too. Actually Tylenol has a new allergy formula out, it works wonderful too!
