5 weeks 1 day pregnant and scared

by karip, Nov 26, 2004 12:00AM
I've had two early miscarriages at five weeks in the past two years. Now I'm pregnant again and worried because my one and only symptom, breast tenderness, seems to wax and wane in intensity. Is this normal or a sign of a problem. Thanks for your help!

Mine did; especially between 4-6 weeks. The first time it happened I cried all day because I thought for sure I had lost the baby. Turns out this was just my second symptom of pregnancy...mood swings. I am 12 weeks today, everything is fine (execpt for my third symptom, horrible, horrible nausea), and I continue to pray for a healthy baby. Try not to freak out and have faith :^).

I am not having really any breast soreness either and I am 5 weeks exactly.  I will sometimes have a tingling sensation though. I hope this is okay.

Thanks for the replies. I feel a little better. It's hard not to be worried, but your story is encouraging.

Try to remember that every pregnancy is different and will have different symptoms - the absence of symptoms doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem.  But I do understand your apprehension.  It's tough not to worry after you've had a loss - but try to stay positive!!

I really didn't have any symptoms whatsoever until about 8 weeks, and then they kicked in big time!  I am now 20 weeks!  Try not to worry, its not good for you or the baby :)

Wow, I'm so glad I read this, I was worried about not being pregnant too and miscarrying again, my breast tenderness came and went, now comes intermittently,  I was worried that I'd miscarried again, am 4 weeks and 1 day, am still holding my breath and waiting for my appointment for my U/S to make sure all is ok, might be done at 6 weeks.

Good luck all you guyz, fingers crossed for you. XX
