I did fet. All came out positve. About 5 days ago the doctor called and asked if I felt pregnant. I said no he said that I was indeed very very pregnant as both my betas (which were 2 days apart) were positive. I was so excited. He then told me in 10 days time I was to go for another quantitative beta blood test and then the nurse would set up the ultrasound. Question: Why a third? Is there something wrong? Is this normalNormal saline flush protocol? Are they checking for something? We put in 3 frozenFrozen shoulderembryosCea. No medicines other than progesterone so why the third beta? Any input or previous experiences would be wonderful. Oh, and I'm 38 with PCOS maybe that has something to do with it? My hubby thinks he is checking the increase of the hcg for multiples to make sure the level is rising correctly. My friend says it is because the level must be more than 1500 before they set up an ultrasound.
I too, had my beta's & progestrone levels checked every two days for pregnancy. At the very least, once a week can be standard protocol to make sure everything is progressing normally. Once HCG levels are over 2000 they will probably do an ultrasound because they can tell more by ultrasound than bloodlevels at that point. good luck.
If you got positives at 7 and 9 days past transfer, that's a great sign! Do you know what your levels were? I certainly wouldn't be concerned about the doc doing more, my problem with my doc was that he didn't do that many LOL. The more information, the better he can tell how your pregnancy is progressing.
Good luck! I hope the pregnancy goes very well for you.
