6 weeks 5 days along

6 weeks 5 days along

I'm almost in the seventh week of pregnancy... besides swollen, tender boobs, getting teary really easy and the headaches that come and go, I feel pretty good.  Sometimes I really have to think about what I want to eat and have maybe a little food aversion and nausea, but nothing too bad.  It seems like I should be getting morning sickness and feeling awful like other early moms-to-be... anyone else out there doing pretty good and not really "feeling pregnant" yet?

I didn't get the symptoms you are explaining until about 8 weeks.  I felt great throughout my first trimester too. Be lucky.

I am now almost 12 weeks and the whole time I felt the same way.  I only got sick once or twice, but not everyday like some people.  I didn't even really get headaches  unless I was really tired or just upset over something.  I am still doing pretty good and sometimes wondering if everything is ok.  Good Luck!!

I'm 6 weeks 3 days, and I have exactly the same symptoms that you do. I had my sonogram today, and there was my baby's tiny heart beating.

Hi, I'm new to the forum.  This is my 3rd preg.  Preg #2 was a twin pregnancy and I lost my daughter to a torn amniotic sac and prematurity.  (My girls were born at 24 weeks gestation.)
I at 11-12 weeks now, and nervous as heck!!!!  I have an US on the 19th of this month to check for multiples, and everything else!  :)  I've enjoyed reading the posts, and wanted to reply to the woman who's coworker said she was big for gestation.  Even on my first pregnancy, (a single son) I was huge from like 2 weeks it felt.  i was in pregnancy clothes 10 weeks before my co-worker due at the same time.  My body is just shaped to expand quickly in the tummy.  My dr's were never concerned.
I'll continue to visit the forum, and its great to hear everyone's advice.

Sounds like I am right in there with you all. I am 8 wks and DYING to have an u/s but I dont think I will have one until 15+ weeks if there is nothing wrong. I THINK we will hear the hb tomorrow (keeping fingers/toes crossed)I felt pretty good until i hit 6 wk 1 d then the nausea started with a vengance, now as long as I snack all day I am OK, but I have gained more than I think I should (5-6 lbs) Im not really worried about weight, but I am afraid the Dr. will say sthing. Anyone else gain a little more in the first few months than the "recommended amount" ? I eat OK, it just seems to be "landing" in new places now :)My bb's have been very sore, I have to ear a sports bra ALL day and night and in the AM I feel like I have literally been hit with something heavy. I dread getting up b/c I know it will hurt. but the hot water in the shower eases the pain. Isnt it funny how you go through all the "not so great pg stuff" and no one can even tell you are pg!! Then again it is ALL WORTH IT and I wouldnt trade a min! Hope you all are doing great!

When do RXs generally do a sonagram?? I will be going into my 6th week.  I see some say they have done one at 6 weeks, and others not until the 15th week.  I have had complications in the past(miscarriages, endometriosis, etc) Do you think they might do it earlier than later ?? I am really anxious.  My hcg level is 4500--is this normal??

It all depends on the dr.  That and what your insurance covers.  Early sonograms are usually done to determine how far along you are.  If you are regular and have a valid LMP to go by then they may not do one early unless there are other complications (spotting, cramping, etc.).

For me, I had one at 6 weeks because I had m/c'd and then gotten pregnant before I had another period.  The dr. did an u/s to find out just how far along I was.

I think generally one is done at 15-20 weeks.  This is where they get all of the vital information that they need.  They take measurements of the baby's head, bones, heart, and other vital organs.  They are also able to tell you the sex of the baby at this point -- if he/she is cooperative.

I then had another one done at 18 weeks, but she was turned breech and they could not get all of the necessary measurements.  I went back 4 weeks later for another one.  That is the last one I had.  I am now 36 weeks.

Hope that helps.

Take care,

Amanda

Hey everyone- I am 5 weeks and 1 day !!! This is my fist so I am a little nervous about everything. I have noticed that my breast are fuller and some what tender, a slight headache every now and then, and I have not been sick, just a little sick feeling at night but passes very quickly. I go for my first OB appt on Feb 3rd. I wonder if I will get any sicker than I am now?
