6 weeks pregnant :-s

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and started loosing small amounts of blood, went for a scan today and was told there was no baby or heart beat found just 3 cystic areas ?? They said I could of had multiple pregnancy that have discontinued or there's a chance it could be a molar pregnancy or just one baby with 2 bleeds !! A consultant decided by looking at my scan result over the phone I had a discontinued pregnancy n booked me in for a surgical evacuation :( is there no possibility they could have this wrong ??

It is very difficult to diagnose whether you are pregnant or not on net. One thing can be done: You can ask for blood HCG monitoring. If the levels are doubling 48 hours apart then there is a chance that pregnancy will go forward. The levels of HCG will be abnormally high if there is molar pregnancy. If HCG levels are dropping then miscarriage is imminent. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
