hey there! i'm 16wks4days and have had the brown spottingVaginal bleeding between periods in the past. my doc said that as long as it's dark brown, there's nothing to worry about cuz it's usually old blood. she said if it becomes bright red and you soak a pad in an hour is when to worry. i've heard and read everywhere that spotting in the first trimester is normal. hope this helps!
Blessings,
Candace
Did you have a progesterone test done? If it is low, that may explain the blood. Or it may be implantation bleeding. Keep an eye on it and call the doctor if anything changes. I understand your worries, believe me.
I had some spotting around my 6th week. It was light pink, then red, then and dark brownish color (it was on and off for 2 days, and varied each time I went to the bathroom).
This was during a weekend, and I went to the doctor first thing that Monday. I saw the baby's heartbeat flickering on the screen, and everything was fine.
They told me this is perfectly normal, and that they see it all the time. But it's best to be checked, JUST in case!
I had spotting a few times during my 1st tri and it was really scary for me to since I also had a proir m/c, if you are concerned ask your doc for a u/s that is always reassuring and by 6 weeks you should be able to see the h/b to make yourself feela little better. Try not to stress about it too much I know it is easier said then done. Good Luck
Blessings,
Candace
