7 month old and teeth

by bjbbeauchamp, Feb 22, 2007 12:00AM
My little girl is 7 months old and she already has her two bottom teeth. I have read that the next ones to come in will be her top middle ones. I was looking at her gums today and there is a spot that looks sort of similar to the one right before her tooth came in on the bottom, but the thing is, the spot is one spot over to the right where the top tooth should come in. should I be concerned? Do you think it is a tooth or something else? I just don't think it would be right for a tooth to come in on the side before the top middle ones do, right?

this cracks me up, not what you post, but my sis' son and step daughter. they got their first teeth, lower two centrals. next they got their little upper cuspid, eye teeth, or vampire fangs if you will. not just one, but both of them!! lol. anyway dont worry, sure there is an order they should come in. but if they dont, dont worry! at least not at this age. nothing you can do.

There are so many deviations from the normal when it comes to teeth, do not worry. My son got his upper incisors first and then the bottom ones. Mine didn`t come out until 12 months at all. Some infants get two sets of baby teeth, some are born with teeth. Mind you, it is always great to get even infants used to a dentist visit. When you go next tim for yourself, just have them take a quick glance at thos erupting perls...

Thanks for the comments:) Yeah, I guess every child is different. I have no clue to what order they come in and so if the ones on the side come in first then that's ok. I just didn't want it to be an infection on her gums or something crazy like that since I thought that the two on top in the middle would be next!
Thanks again

hi, i also have a 7 month old and his cuspid (fang like a vampire) tooth is fully erupt. i also have a 12 year old and his tooth development was in order, on time. my 7 month old developed his bottom 2 front teeth at 5 months old, but when i noticed a triangle shape tooth coming out from the side of his upper mouth worried me too. i'm glad to know someone else had the same concern. i guess there's no such thing as a stupid question.
