7 weeks pregnant no heart beat

7 weeks pregnant no heart beat

I am 7 weeks pregnant and at 6 weeks I had a vaginal ultrasound they only found a sak w/a possible stem.  My HCG levels at 6 weeks was 30,000 and when I went back at 7 weeks the ultrasound still could not find a heart beat and it looked like something was hiding in the corner of the sack but the doctor could not make it out.  The doctor said it was not necessary to check my HCG levels again and recommend a D and C after I have another ultrasound next week to confirm there still was not heart beat.  He also said that my HCG levels were too high at 6 weeks and I would see a heartbeat by now if I was not having a miscarriage.  I am having all signs that I am pregnant such as sore breasts, frequent urination, nausea...I am thinking about demanding another HCG level test before having the D and C.  Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

If there is ANY doubt in your mind, have another ultrasound and/or your levels checked before you have the D&C. You don't want to ever wonder.
When I was 5 weeks 6 days, all I had was an empty sac. Nothing else. At 8 weeks, finally a heartbeat and everything else. He is now 11 months old!!
If your levels were high at 6 weeks, I would think that is GOOD.Even if you didn't see the baby, the HcG levels are the most important. This whole thing sounds strange to me.
I would DEMAND my levels checked AND an ultrasound. And I wouldn't do anything at all until I was 100% sure the baby had passed.
Especially since you have all your pregnancy symptoms. WAIT!!!! If I had listened to the radiologist that told me I had blighted ovum at 6 weeks, I wouldn't have my precious baby. They are wrong fairly often, as many women on here have testified over the years.
