7 weeks u/s shows fetal pole but no heart beat

I went in for an ultrasound this week at 7 weeks 3 days since LMP, the Dr could see a sac with a fetal pole but no heart beat.  She only spent a minute or two then called and made me an appointment at an imaging center 3 days later.  She said the baby and my uterus both measured 6 weeks, but I had a positive pg test on day 25 so I'm not sure if it would be possible to be a week behind.  I am very worried, any chance this baby could still be okay?  I have two children and have had one prior miscarriage but I am 35 and this pregnancy will almost certainly be my last one  either way.

I am at 7 weeks and in a similar position as you. I just hope both our calculations are wrong... I'm finding out this morning. Good luck with everything.

Good luck to you, too.  I know my dates are right but you never know...maybe I ovulated later in the month...  It just worries me because my test was positive so early and it seems like my pg symptoms have been lessening this last week.  Not a good sign, I know.  :o(

I went in for the 2nd u/s this morning.  They said it measured 5w4d, saw the sac and yolk but no sign of the embryo.  I have to go back AGAIN in 4 days to make sure, but my Dr says the odds are very unlikely.  :o(
