7 wks fetal heart rate

by Britt1108, Mar 28, 2009 06:46PM
I am now 7 wks and 2 days. I had my 1st u/s on Monday. Heart rate was perfectly normal. I then began bleeding after my appt., it has been going on for 5 days now. I went back to the dr. on Wed. and he assumed that i would be having a m/c due to the heart rate only being about 60bpm. i am curious if this is viable info? i am not having any m/c symptoms at all other than the bleeding? Has this happened to anyone else before?

So, the hb was Normal on Monday and then the bleeding started and the heartbeat decreased? Did he find this by doing another ultrasound? It's very scary, I'm sorry you are going through this. I would take it easy. Do you have another appt. scheduled?

If you saw the heart rate at 6 weeks it tends to be a little lower. At 6w2d my daughters heartrate was only 95bmp. I was bleeding worse then a period from weeks 5-10 and they said it could be a possible miscarriage. Never happened. My daughter is now 15 months old and as perfect as can be! I would request another ultrasound to see if maybe you have a subchorionic hematoma (very common bleeding during pregnancy and usually doesn't result in miscarriage) and to check the heart rate again.
