8 weeks, no heartbeat, but fetal pole present

Hey All,

Really worried at the mo, so was looking for some of your opinions - had u/s 3 weeks ago to determine dates and found out i was 6w1d, so all was fine, heartbeat present and all was good. had slight cramps so was adivsed to go back in 2-3 weeks for check up.
Went back 2 weeks later, and was told there was no heart beat. Gestational sac had grown, and the fetal pole was present. Was told i was going to m/c. Was devasted. So i'm sitting here, over a week later, still feeling pg and with no signs of m/c at all yet.
Do you think they might have made a mistake? I know my bladder wasn't full that day, so maybe they couldn't see everything. I'm just so confused and i don't want to go to hosp next week for a d&c if there's a chance this pregnancy is viable.
Has anyone had anything similar happen?
Sorry for the rant, glad to get it off my chest! Thanks xxx
