9 year old with stomach problems

My 9 year old son has been diagnosed with constipation and he takes Miralax daily.  He has been on this for about 2 years.  He has recently been having stomach problems.  He complains with a stomach ache.  No fever, no diaherra (diarrhea), no vomiting.  He says he feels bad all over.  could this be an ulcer?  What would the symptons for ulcers be?  I have recently started journaling everything he eats and trying to determine when his stomach hurts.  This is in the beginning stages and I don't have alot of info now.  I know his diet is not the best so we are starting to work on this.  If you have any suggestions, please advise

Well I suffered from ulcers earlier this year, and I know how painful they can be. However, the pains are so bad but aren't attached to any diarreah (diarrhea), vomiting (although the naseus feeling occurs often) I can only say that maybe he suffers from irritable bowel. Its a not so serious condition that occurs in alot of people, however mostly adults who suffer from things like stress, life changes (moving out of the house, college, divorce, new job etc) Also, the saw tummy with no fever is a sign that the body is still healthy which means it cannot be effecting his white blood cells or imune system. I think you should ask your GP about irritable bowel, maybe also about the possibility that your son is nervous or anxious about somthing he isn't sharing, causing the stress and thus the pains in his tummy. My GP once said, peopple of all ages deal with stress differently: some people get headaches, others get rashes, some deal with it by focusing their problem to their tummy, thus causing pains or cramps.
