A few ?'s

Hey Girls,
I have a few questions.. Im having alot of gas and bloating and  lots of discharge and im wondering if it sounds normal? i also feel like af is coming which is due tommorow if im on my regular schedule but i thought it was gonna come on the 26th but it never came.. my cycle was messed up last month so im not to sure.. i took my test on the 24th with first morning urine and it took a few mins to come up a light but very there ++ the test i got said to wait 5 mins before reading and i did that.. i got the tests online.. ive taken a few more since then and its the same thing.. could the test be wrong and im not pregnant?? im starting to worry here.. im not gonna go to my doctor until after my period is a few days late so could my levels just be going up really slow or could it have been a lil to early to test?? im not to sure when i ovulated but it was somewhere around the 15-18th?? any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.. Thanx for all your help..

Hi, try not to worry so much as hard as it is. Its sounds like you are definitly pregnant. All those symptoms are very normal for very early pregnancy. I always felt as though af was coming, only it never did. Also you will feel a little mild crampiness for the first few weeks. I know its scary for you after all youve been through, but try to relax. And I would schedule an appt as soon as you can, cause youll start questioning the test more ( I always did untill doc confirmed for sure) even thgouh I knew I was pregnant. I hope this helps you...

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and when I took my test I wasn't suppose to start yet but my husband was like come on take it so I did and it came up it sounds like you are very much so pregnant you also sound like my bestfriend test after test lol but I had three ofem cus I didn't belive it but its true lol well you need to go to the doc asap so he or she can check you and if you are you can start your prenatal vitamins but what ever you do don't get the over counter vitamins they may have to much iron or not enough and can kill the baby inside you well my mother inlaw told me that she is a nurse well good luck...

Hey girl, it's perfectly normal what you are describing. I felt exactly the same way. Try to enjoy it, I just knew it would happen for you soon.

Chloe,

Don't freak out about that vitamin horror story up above.  Take what you have since I know you were on them. Two flinstones is perfect.  It wont harm the baby.  My OBGYN recommended the two flinstones if you were unable to tolerate the others and I remember you had problems with the others. Call your doc and ask about additional iron. Keep doing what you are doing and you ARE prgenant and I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!

XOXOXO

Yeah, the post about prenatals was ****.  hate those kind of posts. I too am a nurse (or was beofre I got married and started having babies) and have never heard of such a ridiculous thing. OTC prenatals are just as good, in fact most insurance companies won't cover rx prenatals anymore due to their easy availability OTC.

Stick to a trusted brand name. If they make you ill, you can try a good multi until it passes. Also, make sure if you aren't taking a good multi or prenatal to at the very least take a folic acid supplement!

I have also read somewhere that during the first trimester if you can't find a pill that doesn't make you gag, that eating a bowl of Total cereal (has 100% of just about everything) is just as good.

Good luck!!

My goodness, I will finally come out and say it. I realize you are trying to help "38 weeks" but i have yet to really see an educated post come from you. All you have continued to do is undermine everyone elses posts and make off the wall statements in your attempts to "not be negative".

I have never in my life heard of such goofy things!! An OD of iron will not cause a m/c and if it was possible do you realize how much it would take?

For someone to dx a m/c as being caused by an OD of iron needs to either A-have their license yanked or B- put on a  pedistal as someone who after many years and tons of studies to have finally figured out what causes first trimester m/c. Hint, the first is most realistic as determining the exact cause of a first trimester loss if near impossible. Just to prove a point, how many women here have ever had a definite concrete answer as to why they lost their peanuts in the first trimester? Even with the products of conception in 3 of my m/c, they have never once been able to say "this is what caused it"

Sorry, I know this may have been out of line, but my goodness I couldn't take it anymore.

I am sorry for your friend's loss, I have lost 4 pg myself and i know it is never easy.

Let me say that i have heard alot of strange stuff in my life, but i have never, ever, ever heard of vitamins causing m/c. That is so absurd!!! And let me just add one thing, if your posts say "sorry to be a negative person but...." maybe you can spare us the comment b/c we just don't need anymore negativity!!!!! I don't want to post b/c i don't want to hear any backwoods ****. Please note: I didn't call any names. Thanks Hope

I guess I'm confused.  Your mother-in-law diagnosed what caused your best friends miscarriage? The reason I asked is because you said your MIL was a nurse and she told you of the vitamins causing m/c. Then you said it was the cause of your b/f m/c. Guess I got lost somewhere along the conversation.

I really wouldn't believe everything you hear. I think that if this were such a big worry all the women on the board would be told about at their first visit.  Sorry to hear of your friend's m/c. I have had two myself this year.
