I would say if he has no temperature, and not fussing, that its just him learning to walk. They dont walk so well in the beginning. They are getting used to supporting that big head of theirs while trying to keep their balance walking.
My DS is only 6 months and is obviously not walking, but I would take him to the doc again to be safe. I took DS to the doctor because he was coughing so much and he ended up having an infection in both ears. He had given no signs. The doctor said it was a good thing I brought him in because ear infections need to be treated.
Talon falls all over the place when he is tired. Could it be related to that? Do you notice it at certain times or is it all the time?
Talon hasn't had any ear infections so I don't know much about them.
how about a phone call to the doctor instead to see if he wants to see him. if it's out of his normal "walking" pattern I'd say better safe than sorry- even though I hate trips to the doctor just as much as you do... :)
No he does not have tubes. He did not have his first ear infection until he was 10 months and now he is almost 13 months and this is his 3rd. I honestly think it is from teething. My DD did the same thing. I am going to try to get him in tomorrow. He is wobbling all over the place. Definitely NOT his norm even for a beginning walker.
It could be his ears. I have much experience with ear infections. Our dd has had tubes twice and with the second set of tubes had tonsils and adenoids (adenoids) taken out. Her ENT insists that cutting teeth and ear infections are not related, but I disagree. With every tooth, she had an ear problem. Always had fluid build-up in one ear or the other, sometimes both. She was not an ear puller, but got very moody with her ear infections. Her tubes are out now (she's 7), but this summer she had two ear infections that had fluid tinged with blood in it. It drained from her eardrum. I know, TMI. She was cutting a molar at this time. When she was smaller, she was clumsy and did bump into things. Ear infections should be addressed, especially in the early years, because their sense of speech is being developed and their hearing can be impaired due to fluid build up. Our dd had some hearing loss in one ear, when first diagnosed. I would get him checked out. I had always wished I had learned to use an otoscope, just to give me an idea if an ear infection was starting, but I was always discouraged by the doc. Good luck.
That is about what christopher did with his first ear infection?
Cody has pulled at his one ear a few times now,A little fussier
I remember you saying he didnt have a fever, Yes if something is wrong with his ears it could disturb the equilibreum (sp)
and his balance would be off,
Their teeth are both bothering them , it could be that, but you hate not going incase its more than that
The falling down I would wonder for sure if its not his normal I would go!!or at least call and see what they think
