Aargh! Mark has Croup!

Last night Mark, 7 months, had a high fever, heavy wheezing, serious cough and in general felt sick. Then, this morning, when he still had all the same symptoms I decided to take him to the pediatrician. I have to say that I was worried that he had the swine flu, but he has been diagnosed with a pretty bad case of croup. The doctor sent me home with a bunch of different medications for him to take as well as some basic advice, but I wonder if any of the ladies out here in cyber land have any advice for me. There are two kids in the house (my oldest is 4), and I am wondering whether I should be worried about him getting it as well.  I am just looking for any  advice I can get on how to combat this ailment. Awww poor baby. I have 4 children and for some reason if one gets sick, they all do. Im not sure about croup though. I would turn on the shower and let the bathroom stem up and put him in there for about 5 minutes or so, you sit with him of course:-) Then open the door and bring him into the room temputer which will be cold to him after being in the steam. It is supposed to help clear them up. Also a humidifire helps. Maybe some baby vicks rub and tons of TLC! Hope he feels better soon!!
