Since I'm new to this site, I'm still trying to get abbreviations down.  What is "AF"?
Thanx, Kathi

AF means "aunt flow"-your period.  Welcome to the forum!! Are you trying to conceive (TTC) or are you pregnant? I'm ttc#1.

Lynn :)

BD~ Baby Dance! I am happy to use that one so that when DD comes into the room, she doesn't see the word sex on my screen!! It is cute too!! Shannon

OK, here's another one: "DH"  ????
Hi Lynn!  Good Luck and Baby Dust to you!!!
I'm ttc - I have a 20 year old and an 19 month old.  And,,,,,I'm 42.  We've been trying for 1 year now to no avail.  I've been to fertility docs, but short of IVF and AF, just prayin' a lot! After my period, we've been trying EVERY OTHER DAY for ONE MONTH!!  Boy, that gets really mechanical.  But, every month, around that time, I get terrified to go to the bathroom  - hoping for no AF   <- hee hee (love those abbreviations!)
Anyway, Good Luck Lynn!  BBTY

DH~ Dear Hubby
DD~ Dear Daughter
DS~ Dear Son

If you go to this link, (it is baby center, but the abbreviations are the same) you will see the abbreviations and their meanings. Shannon

I still have the hardest time using those. I am so used to just spelling out "hubby", son/toddler/monster, lol.

I wish I would have thought to start as thread like this when I first came on. I spent the first few weeks figuring them out on my own. The hardest one was AF : ) Seems silly, but it was.

Andrea

BTW, Shannon, how are you feeling?

by slsa2000, Sep 15, 2003 12:00AM
UMMMMM. I forgot to paste the link! LOL I am feeling OK today Andrea. Some days I feel great and some days I feel like I don't want to get out of bed! You deserve a medal for going thru this with a baby!! My daughter is almost 8, so it isn't too bad! I hope you are feeling well!
