Okay... I'm 16wks3days, and for the past couple of days, every morning when I get up, my hipsHip joint replacement Hip pain hurt so bad I can barely walk. It starts feeling better after an hour or so, but is it normalNormal saline flush for me to be hurting this bad as soon as I wake up? I understand why my tailboneTailbone trauma hurts sometimes when I get up, I broke it like almost four years ago and it aches with weather changes too. I just don't understand why my hipsHip joint replacement Hip pain would.
Oh, and it's not like there's any blood or cramps or anything, and I feel the baby move every so often.
you're stretching and that effects all kinds of parts of your body. Also, are you sleeping on your side? If so, it could be the added pressurePressure ulcer of sleeping on your hipsHip joint replacement Hip pain that's causing them to hurt. Try a pillow between the knees if you are sleeping on your side. I ache all over most days when I wake up - but I'm almost 29w now and I have fibromyalgia, so I'm not sure some days if it is the pregnancy or the fibro making me hurt more!
Welcome to pregnancy in general, everything hurts! I'm 31 weeks and I know I'm miserable. I started having hip problems around 17 weeks myself, like jennyb said alot of its probably from side sleeping and streaching ligaments. I have this problem. You can't lay on your stomach, past 20 weeks they ask you not lay on your back, so all it leaves is the sides, then they prefer you to sleep on your left side, as if we aren't having enough trouble getting comfortable already! My body pillow is my best friend right now, I can not sleep without it. I also had to get another bed, the old one was killing me, but before I got the new matress I bough one of those foam temperpedic bed topper. It was a life saver, took all the pressure off my hips and back, it formed to you, not pushed against you. It was worth the $100.00 to me. Sometimes I still have to sleep on my back but if I do I put a pillow under one side of me to take some of the pressure off.
I hope that helps, thats why I came up with, if you find something new yourself, let me know, lol!!
Yeah, I was starting to wonder myself if it wasn't partially the bed. We're sleeping in twin daybed at the moment, partner me and baby (who thankfully hasn't put my tummy out THAT far yet) because we're staying with a friend until we can find a place of our own, we just moved back into the area. Hoping that we can get a place of our own ASAP where we can get our bed out of storage (lovely, lovely queen sized pillow-top mattress. lol!) I was always a stomach sleeper so I guess the new pressure on my hips is a good portion too. ::sigh:: Here's to another 23 weeks!
PS - I sleep with a body pillow too, tucked between my legs for comfort, and beneath my tummy, to keep me from rolling onto my stomach.
