Advice Needed

Hi there,

I am 4 days late for my period(I have been had a late period in my life). I took a HPT on the day i was suppose to get my period which was Wednesday the 28th and i took one today. I guess you what the answer is? A big FAT NEGATIVE!

I was wondering when I should take the next test. No signs of me getting my period as I am still having the white discharge(which always stops 3 to 4 days before my period).. The only change I am noticing is - uhm uhm (hope this is not too much information) my nipple is getting bigger and bigger.

Should I see a doctor if i still do not get my period? and when?
Anybody out there who had been in the same situation for example HPT showing negative and 4 to 5 days late....
I know different people have different HCG level..But if I go for a blood test, will they find out..
Ladies, I am counting on your advice. Thanks.

Sometimes it takes awhile for HCG to show up in the urine, so if you haven't gotten your period in a few days, I would definitely go see the doc to do a blood test, or take another HPT.  It took me 2wks after my missed period to register on a HPT. Good luck!

Hi,

Thank you so much for replying back. I will try another HPT by next Wednesday and if it is still negative, i will go to the doc. The wait is going to be very long but I will have to be patient.I will let you know what happened.

Also, be sure to use first morning urine and try a sensitive test (ept is a good one).

It is recommended that you see a doctor if you miss your periods three months in a row and you aren't pregnant - there are MANY reason that cause one to miss their period or get it very late that arent related to pregnancy.  Usually, if you miss one period (and you arent pregnant) the doctor will just ask you to come back in a couple of months.
