Advice Please - 4 th week 3 days- No sac

Thanks for all your help.....

Hi My wife HCG levels are below.

Nov 13 last period started, Dec 12, we got a positive urine test, went for a blood test - HCG -890, Progestrone - 2
2nd Visit - Dec 14 - HCG- 2600, Progestrone - 6
3rd Visit - Dec 15 - HCG - 2960 - Progestrone - 13 - They did the Ultrasound - No sac - Doctor told us that This may not be a healthy pregnancy. For this HCG levels we should see the sac.
Next Visit - Dec 17

I need to tell you the history of my wife pregnancy. We were trying for 2 years. We went IVFNJ, clomed didn't happen. First IUI she got pregnant - Levels went up, didn't hold up. Second IUI she got pregnant again, levels went up to HCG 2000, but no sac in 5 weeks. Dr said, no sac it may be ectopic pregnancy, she gave methodtraxie,She didn't show any evidence it is ectopic. this IUI didn't happen, 4 th IUI she got pregnant again, HCG levels didn't hold up. After that 3 IUI not successful. We want to take sometime off. She got prgenant natural way, No clomed, No IUI. Now we are going through above. I know that tomorrow, if no sac Dr.will suggest methodtrax, Dr. told me that. if we don't do that fallobian tube will burst. I didn't sleep whole night thinking about this.....
I have a Questions....

1) Can we wait until end of 6 to 8 weeks then do the Ultra sound, Is there any problems will occur? Ectopic or something....
As per the posts somepeople didn't have a SAC until 6 weeks.

Advice please. Our phone number 908-782-6078/908-240-6368. Any help will be appreciated....

At 5-6 weeks gestation, on sonogram we only see an empty gestational sac. By 6-7 weeks we usually can see a fetus and a fetal heartbeat. If you have such elevated HCG values, they should see a gestational sac on sonogram. If not, they have to rule out an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, since a value of 8000 is above the "discriminatory zone". However, I would wait and repeat the sonogram in two weeks. There is no harm in waiting as long as you are not having cramps and heavy bleeding. Good Luck.

I got this info from: http://experts.about.com/q/ObGyn-Pregnancy-issues-1007/sac-5-weeks.htm

I hope this helps, I have had this happen on 2 different times, God bless

Hello...I am sooo sorry that you both are going through this..... It just sounds strange that you are getting preggers but there is never a fetal pole, etc... I also have just been dx with an eptopic pg. and I had the metho. shot on Tues.  I don't think you should wait if you are talking about an eptopic...it could be dangerous and you don't want the tube to burst.... I have also had 2 pg.'s....this first one the numbers were not doubling and it ended in m/c... and I had a D&C....(the process was not bad at all!!!).... I am a little worried about this metho. shot though...I had it on Tues. and I feel nothing...nothing has passes, etc.... I wonder what is going on????
ANyway, back to you... I am reading this wonderful book called:
"Is your body Baby Friendly?" and it gives a different insight on how the immune system attacks the embryo...Could this also be your problem????  jus a shot in the dark, but I have been researching EVERYTHING!!!  and I know you guys are just as frutrated as me.... although this was our first IVF and it turned out to be eptopic??? weird??? anyway... I am not sure if I answered all of your questions...so if you have anymore, let me know...until then I am thinking about you guys.....It's just NOT fair!!!

For the progestrone level to come up i am taking the projestrone gel injection 2cc everyday from yesterday.
First time on 12/12 hcg was 1300
on 12/14 hcg was 2600
on 12/15 hcg was 2960
the doctor thinks that for the 2960 hcg they should see something in the uterus.  On 15th they performed an ultrasound to see something, they don't see anything in the tube/uterus, so immediately they are suggesting to take inj.methotrexate to dissolve the tissue.  The scan tech told me this is too early to see anything because its only 4weeks 4days.  But the doctor is saying like this, confused, who can i believe.

HISTORY:
I lost my first pregnancy because of the progesterone level, they know that its low but they didn't given any medication to boost that level, they were saying once you become pregnant your body will automatically boost the progesterone level.

I lost my second pregnancy because of my obgyn stopped my metformin once i got the positive result, after that the hcg count didn't go up well.  My endocrinologist thinks that the level didn't went up because of they stopped the metformin,  I am taking metformin because i have PCOS.  I am taking insulin NPH at night for my type 2 diabetes.  Normally for the PCOS patiens will take their metformin until the first trimester to hold up the pregnancy.

This time they were saying the combined answer, i don't know what to do???

My hcg levels were at 4000 and my RE did an u/s...wanted to rule out ectopic, he saw a sac in the uterus unfortunately did not see a heartbeat but thought it was too early, i was 4 weeks and 4 days at the time.
I believe that if your hcg levels are high a sac should be visible.
