I am been trying to get pregnant now for alomost a year. And as odd as it sounds a friend of mine told me my chances would be higher if I went on birth controlControl Control rx. So not knowing much about Depo I stupidly had the injection. I've had it now for a month and since then I've heard so much stuff about it. I'm now afraid it'll take me another year to get pregnant? Is this true even though I've only had one injection.??
Yes, it can be true. I was on the shot for three years and it took me close to a year to conceive. After my son was born I had only 2 injections of the depo shot and it took me a year to get pg again.
The average time to get pg after depo is 12-18 mos. Next time you want help trying to conceive, talk to your doctor : ) It may take you less time to conceive, but don't be upset if it does take the full year.

Try progestrone supp. ask your doctor. The depo needle may be great in you go in 1 every 3 mths, no period, no pms... but if it was supposed to be that way, then why do we get it in the first place right?
i have heard that taking the pill for a mth gets you back on track. but i would definatley recommend a different form of bc when your not trying!
