After hysterectomy?

by newlyfixed, Mar 21, 2004 12:00AM
I waited 6 weeks after my surgery to resume sexual intercourse as my Dr. had recommended. After the first encounter, there was a small amount of fresh blood. Is this normal, or is it possible we've resumed activity too soon and done something damaging?

You had a major thing happen in that area.  I would think it is nothing at all to worry about.  6 weeks is usually the norm after anything down there is done.  I would put a call into the nurse at the ofc just to put your mind at ease.  Good Luck.
