Allergy Pills

Is it ok to take Benadryl allergy pill while pregnant? what if have runny nose and swallow snot, does that go to the baby? is it harmful?

My doctor gave me a list of meds i could take when pregnant...claritin and benedryl are ok.  I suggest drinking lots of fluids to help get rid of the cold..i had the same thing to a little back and drinking lots of fluids help!!! good luck. as your OB for a list of meds that she may already have...i know meds can be scary when pregnant and you did the right thing...never take it unless you absolutely know for sure!!! good luck!!!

Drink lots of OJ too! The vitamin C will help you back to feeling healthy...plus it's full of folic acid! :)

I have always had severe asthma and allergies and this year is no different. The weather is killing me! My doctor just re-wrote me a script for Singulair and said it was a better prescription allergy med for pregnant women. I am in the third tirmester though so it may be different depending on how pregnant you are! :)

I did take it during my last pregnancy and I take it during this prenancy. The latest sudy at Evanston hospital in Illinois came out last month and said even claritin d 12 & 24 hours are ok. Ask your dr about  that. Good luck

how far along are you? my doctor didn't let me take it in the first trimester.

You are right, my ob put me on it after my 13 weeks. bcz almost all orgns are formed by then.
