Am I having a miscarriage?

by Shafanna, May 02, 2004 12:00AM
I am about a month or no more than a month and a 1/2 pregnant. These past few weeks i have been really stressing. I have been crying alot and putting my body under alot of stress. Last night me and my boyfriend had a big fight with alot of yelling and crying involved. I even started to push him and he in return tried pushing me away from him and I lost balance and fell right on my back. When I woke up this morning I felt really wet. When I touched myself it was like water. I was no kind of discharge but water. Then when I took a tissue and wiped there was blood. Not light pink blood but normal red. I have been bleeding for about 4 hours now, but not gushing blood. Everytime I wipe there is blood. Sometimes it comes out with the watery substance.
Do you think I am having a misscarriage?

I am nor sure you are or if you are not. But I would call your doctor this morning. Most doctors have on call or if you do not have one I would suggest going to the er to get checked out. I hope you feel better. I know I should probably not say this but if you are your bf are physically abusive to each other then I would really suggest you both see someone for that as well. There are so many other ways to resolve issues then to use your hands on the one person that you are supposed to love. Ok I will stop but please talk to someone. And I pray that everything with your little peanut is ok.

I think that anytime you are bleeding (especially red) while pregnant it warrents being looked into. Go to your clinic or hospital or doctor and see what they say upon examination. This is not something I would waste time doing.
Good Luck,

I agree with them, go right away and get checked!

Yes, get it checked out.

But the bigger issue is that of domestic violence between the two of you.  With a baby on the way, BOTH of you need to learn new ways to problem solve and deal with conflict.  A new baby brings (along with a lot of joy) a lot of new and potentially problematic issues.  You don't want your child learning and seeing violence as a way to deal with problems.

NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO PUT THEIR HANDS ON YOU.  Period.  End of story.  No matter if you pushed him first.  Don't make excuses for him.  I bet he outweighs you by a good deal, and is physically much stronger.

You are pregnant.  No man EVER has the right to "push", hit, slap, punch, or emotionally hurt ANY woman, and ESPECIALLY a pregnant one.

Get help.
