Am I leaking amniotic fluid? Can it wait until Wednesday??? HELP!

Okay I will try to make this short and sweet! Me and my mom went shopping Saturday and we did a lot of walking. At one point towards the end of us shopping I had to go to the bathroom real bad. When I went I noticed that my underwear and my pants were wet! I don't know if this is amniotic fluid or if I leaked some of my urine!!??? They had to induce my last DD because I leaked fluid... could it be happening again?? Then when I went to the bathroom this morning I wiped and some thick stuff with a very slight tinge if brown came out on the TP! Me and DH did more sexual activity this weekend than usual... could this cause the mucousy stuff??? I am only 20 weeks and I go for my level 2 ultrasound on Wednesday, can this wait if I take it easy until then?

I would call the dr.  I too had 'wet' panties during pregnancy once or twice but mine was only due to a very full bladder...LOL

Sorry if TMI...I'd be concerned about the color discharge...but after 3 losses this year...I worry about everything.

Better to play it safe..and for your peace of mind.

Hey Darling.  Not trying to scare you.. but my cousin had this happen to her and she didnt call or go to thedoctor and it turned out she was in labor.  By chance did you smell your pants and underwear (i know, disgusting.)  But atleast this way you would know if it was pee.  Have you leaked anymore?  As for the slimey stuff.. its possible that could be from all the BDing.  Good lUck

I'd go ahead & call to be safe, my greatgrandma had what they call a dry birth w/ my aunt, they were both fine but gm said it hurt worse w/ a dry birth so I'd try to get checked out today & see what the DR thinks. I've heard the body can make more am fluid (not sure how fast), but I think the DR concern is infection (& if u r in labor or not)   Maybe it's not am... fluid! You poor thing u got enough to think about!!!! Take CAre & Call the DR!!

You said you did a lot of walking.  I know I sweated tremendously with my first baby when I would do anything over a tenminute walk---But just to be sure go in and have the dr chekc a sample of the mucus--they will let you know if there is any fluid in it.

last year I don't remmeber how far along i was I thought I was leaking
they did an ultrasound and told me to increase my water so the fluid would replenish - tehy did ultrasounds every week to check my levels
she was borna  little funny looking but I am glad I went right away to get checked

i know this will seem gross, but my dr told me to smell the fluid on my panties. see if it smells like urine or sweat. if it smells sweeter it could be amniotic. but seeing as you are only 20 weeks, get it checked today. do not wait.

i say go right away to dr. sil recently lost all her amniotic fluid at 20 wks. not good outcome. go to dr asap just to be safe.

hi im 24 weeks and 3 days and i have recently started getting more and more discharge but it feels more wet rather than the discharge i was getting at the beginning . i was worried so went to the doctors and they think its just thrush as im quite itchy there too and there is a slightly creamy milky colour discharge too so im hoping its not the amniotic fluid leaking, but i can feel a little wet tricle out sometimes not very often and i have been wearing  a pad to check if it gets filled within an hour with the wet stuff then to go get checked out. when i went to docs she did a urine sample and everything is fine so would they be able to detect the amniotic fluid in my urine? coz im still worried  but baby seems absolutely fine heart beat good and she is still moving and kicking me loads . just wanted some advice as this is my first and i worry about every little thing x
