Am i pregnant? 24 days late 5+ hpt 2 neg blood test

I have had 5 (+) hpt but my doctor did 2 blood test and they came back negative, I'm 24 days late for my period i have some of the pregnancy signs such as--- headaches, sore breasts, feeling sick and dizzy, needing a wee alot and i feel bloated. I haven't even been spotting. Could the blood test be wrong? i really need to know now its getting so frustrating. please help me.

depends. when was the blood test done and when was the last hpt done.

i had a blood test on 20/5/08 that was negative and i did a hpt on the 22/5/08 and that was positive.

Looks good to me, if your hpt was done after the blood test I'd feel reassured by that. Have you used a reputable brand of hpt, and did the result come up quite quickly and is it easy to read? If so, I'd say your defo pg. Good luck hon. x

If it was a simple "yes or no" blood test, its possible that the level of HCG was too low to be detected by the blood test.  And then 2 days later, you simply had more HCG in your system and tested positive on the hpt.  

Go back to your doctor and get a quantitative HCG test done.  It will measure the level of HCG in your bloodstream accurately, down to almost zero.
