Amniotic sac

I had an ultrasound today and I am 4 weeks 6 days pregnant.  The ultrasound tech said she could see an amniotic sac and that is it.  She acted as though I probably not pregnant.  Anyone had this??  I also took 9 pregnancy tests, all positive and have sore breasts and I am feeling nauceous occasionally. I am just so confused.

I to am about 5 weeks and had an ultrasound that is about all that you can really see this early my but my dr said that there was somthing there and that was a sign that a baby will be growing! The HPT would not show up as positive if you are not!!! so i hope that goes good very well for you!!

If I were you I wouldn't even give it a second thought.Sounds perfectly normal for such an early pregnancy. When I was 5 weeks 6 days, all that was seen was a sac and nothing else.You are a whole week earlier than that.This early in pregnancies, every single day counts. You will see more by 6 weeks---and at the latest 7.

So is the amniotic sac and gestational sac the same thing?

I've never heard the term amniotic sac actually. I was told I had a gestational sac.What should be there by 7 weeks is: gestational sac, yolk sac, fetal pole, tiny tiny baby and tiny heartbeat.

I just googled it and yes they are the same sac.

I am confused on why she is thinking I am not pregnant.  I asked her if it is possible that I am pregnant and she said yes but it would not be a normal pregnancy.  I am so confused because it sounds like everythink is normal.

The radiologist who did my ultrasound at 5 weeks 6 days also told me I was going to miscarry because I only had a sac. Well, that "miscarriage" is now a ten-month old beautiful, healthy, happy baby boy!!! :)
I really think a lot of medical people jump the gun in early pregnancy concerns. Unless there is something she wasn't telling you, I think you are perefectly fine if the only issue is that there was only a sac seen at 4 weeks 6 days.

The nurse called with the results today and she is thinking it is very possible I am pregnant. Had blood done today then again on Thursday and ultrasound in 2 weeks.  I am keeping my fingers crossed!
