I have used it when needed while I was pregnant. Young children can also use it too. I guess you have to weigh the risks of possibly getting west nile. I wish I could help more. Try to look online for some research into this... I know how you feel though.Im paranoid about getting west nile while being pregnant. Im not really worried about it doing anything to me , but to my baby. I use bug wipes actually when I need them. They are wipes made by cutter, so theres no risk of inhaling it. It great to use on my kids too. I hated trying to spray them cause they are still so little.....

They just recently gave the okay for pregnant women and children over 6 mos to use products with DEET in it. Keep in mind you still want to use a lower % kind. I personally use  a citronella spray, you can find it with the stuff with the DEET in it. The stuff I use smell like lemons and is very effective, I used it when I was pg with my son and lived in Houston (big ol skeeters there and they loved me when I was pg!!)

I will look to see if i can find what the brand was I used.

Hello all,
I use Skin So Soft and that works great and has no bad chemicals in it that could harm you or your family. I hope this helps - : )
