Antenal issues

I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and i am a high risk pregnancy, after haing miscarriages before. The problem is i cannot seem to get appointment with the midwife at thesurgery and this will be my first appointment. Im wondering what i can do about this and is the anyway i can see another midwife??? help much apporeciated xx

You don't say what country you are in or what health-care system you are operating in, but speaking generally, I would call your regular general-practitioner doctor (also called a family doctor in some places and an internal medicine doctor in others -- it is the one your husband or you would go see if you had a bad case of bronchitis or an ache in your back) and explain the problem, tell him or her why you are high risk and that you cannot get scheduled for a first prenatal visit, and see if he or she can get you scheduled with someone.  I believe antenatal means "after pregnancy" so you might have more luck getting scheduled if you change your terminology and ask for a prenatal appointment.
