Any Hope? 1st HCG 163 Now 214

only 51 points gained in 2 days ~ doctor wants another HCG in two days and two days later U/S.  Is there really any hope?

Typically in healthy viable pregnancies, hcg will double every 48 hours until hcg's reached about 6000 when it can begin to take longer (72-96 hrs to double). Also, doctors usually can't see anything via u/s until hcg's atleast 1200. How far along are you?  Wishing you the best of luck and hopefully your little bean's just off to a slow start.

When I first found out I am pg my HCG was 8 only. When I called Dr. office the nurse was surprised that how can be HPT so sensitive, when they did second HCG it was only 12 after 48hrs,what my Dr. said every women is different in response to early pg as far as your HCG is at least 55% more that last in 48hrs. and early in pg it is hard to say anything at this point, but my HCG then goes to 34,124,418 the way it suppose to be so take is easy for now and think positive it will be fine.

My LMP was May 15 - with 30 day cycle, I have had 3 ectopics and pretty much have given up

I think this is one of those times when you have to hope for the best while bracing for the worst.  I am glad for you that the doc is doing another HCG draw and then an u/s; that way you will be very sure.  Besides just the possibility of the baby being a slow starter, another possibility that would still be hopeful is if you began with two and now only have one -- that would change the overall rate when only two HCG measures are involved, if the first number had the effects of more than one embryo and the second one was just the numbers of the embryo still standing.  This happened to me three weeks ago, and apparently it's pretty common.  I'll cross my fingers for you.  (((HUGS)))  Annie

I am 6wks 6 days. On sunday there was a heartbeat. But the dr said there is bleeding from the pregnancy. He put me on vaginal suppositories (progesterone). I was having brown spotting too. Hcg level was 1870 then 1940 and today 1740. Is this a indication of a definate impending m/c?
