Any sucess stories with IUI ?

Any sucess stories with IUI ?

I just wanted to know if anyone had IUI done if they were sucessful after how many tries and if you don't mind saying apprx price and state please. I think i'm goin to go for it, since i've tried everything else naturally and nothing has worked. Or do you have any natural suggestions.

I have had 2 IUI, no success yet. I was under a lot of stress at that time, maybe that is why. Planning to start again. I am in CA and my isurance does not cover. I paid $540 for the procedure only and with the sperm wash and other things they do I think it came out to be under $700.

i had cdphp, and now we have an insurance company called pomco, the only problem is we just got this new insurance october 1st, my last IUI was done before that, and I just got my period so now I have to restart the injections again. only problem is this new insurance company needs to give pre-auth for everything, and I am mid cycle., I had to by my own drugs, and then they will reimburse me. Thank god for credit cards.

Hi,

I'm in Arizona and I have Aetna HMO and they cover me for 6 IUI's, meds, us and blood work.  Are you sure you looked into it properly?  Here is a number you can call to see if you qualify Aetna 800 515-5999 this is a special line it's called the Infertility line and you have to register here before they will pay for anything.  Also, you have to call them every cy on the first day of your cy for them to give you an authorization number for the month.  They are like the fertility police.  Anyway check them out because I didn't know either.  I paid for my first two IUI's until I found out and then I was clever enough to get reimbursed.

My story I'm on my 4th IUI w/clomid and hcg trigger shot.  I'm feeling very down at this point I'm supposed to go in tomorrow to get my blood work done to see if I'm preg so I figured I'd take a hpt on my own.  I figured well if I'm preg tomorrow I'm preg today so oh well.  I got a faint line for the very first time in 4 mos.  BUT there goes my mind saying well maybe the trigger shot is still in your system.  I had the shot done 13 days ago so I don't know.  Any advice girls?

Hi galjazzy,

Did you get a chance to call the fertility line yet?  Please keep us posted on what Aetna says.  I took another HPT this morning and I got that faint line again.  I had an RE apt anyway today for my blood work so I'm waiting for them to call me to say yay or nay.  I'll keep you posted.  Take care.

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. They only cover for testing for infertility, none for procedures. Good thing they cover some labs.

I just had my first IUI cycle and am disappointed bc it didn't work.  I guess I was expecting it to bc the only person whom I know who did this got twins on the first try.  I had a pos test 8 days post IUI and didn't realize the shot to force ovulation could do this.  Did this happen to anyone else.  My doctor said I should now try IVF.
