Anybody? Low, practically steady hcg + VERY low progesterone

I'm just looking and hoping I guess for someone who might know what's going on with me or who's been there done that.

I found out I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago. We were charting and TTC. I tested + verrry lightly at 11dpo, but when the line wasn't getting darker AND I didn't feel pregnant, I asked my doctor for a blood test.

My first beta hcg was 15 at 15dpo. Because it was so low, they wanted to follow up 4 days later. The next day, I got what was like a period. Heavy, bright red bleeding with cramping. I figured I was miscarrying. But at 18dpo my hcg was 30 and my progesterone was .43. Very very low (like, pre-ovulation low), but my hcg doubled even though it was super low. So it was like I really did get my period. I was going out of town for 8 days, so they did my next hcg yesterday at 6w1d pregnant (over a week later); the hcg was 63 and my progesterone was .57. I go for *another* draw tomorrow.

Has anybody experienced this? Or anything like it? I have a unicornuate uterus, which is only half a reproductive system, so I only have 1 tube and I'm terrified it's ectopic. I'm starting to get frustrated that the OB is only doing blood test after blood test, but I know with an hcg of 63, there's nothing to see on an ultrasound anyway. I have no misconceptions about this being a nonviable pregnancy, but I worry about my future fertility since I'm only working with one tube here and wasn't really done having children (I have a 1 year old daughter).

I'm sorry to hear the pregnancy isn't viable. I hope they do a bit more research to find why your levels won't return to "0" so that you can ttc again! Good luck to you!

Well I found out I was pregnant by a home preg. test 3/7/08 Scheduled a ob appt. and just as she was about to do the pelvic exam I was bleeding and cramping. Cervix is closed. I just got my hcg levels back 26.5. They told it was low and I'm about 5 weeks and half. Is that extremely low what are in the norm. I took another test today 3/13/08 and I find out tomorrow hopefully. This is my first pregnancy. So be lucky that you have a daughter already that's a blessing in its own.
