Anyone else with miscarriage and uterine polyps?

by SharShar, Oct 23, 2004 12:00AM
I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this and had a healthy pregnancy.  I had a D&C on 4/30/04 due to a egg sac and no fetus, then we found out we were pregnant again on 8/15/04, and on 8/16/04 started to bleed heavily and I ended up miscarring again.  Since that time, my Doc has had me tested for just about everything to try to find the cause, and the only thing that has appeared is the polyps in my uterus.  I had surgery last Tuesday to remove them, and go back for a follow-up appt in about 2 weeks, and I am going to talk to him about future pregnancy(s), but I was just wondering if anyone out there has been through this.  I have also read that the more time you miscarry the higher your risk for future pregnancys? Thanks,
SharShar

I've had 3 m/c and I was told I have no greater chance of m/c then any other women. Just bad luck. They could never find any reason for it happening. I did have some testing done but everything was fine. Again, they said it was just bad luck and my chances were as good as anyone else's. Stay positive and don't try too hard. Don't let it rule your life like many of us do. When you relax, you get better results. I swear trying too hard is like birth control!!!

Thanks for your quick response, your words are so true!  We are just trying to make an educated decision about our future, we aren't even sure we will try again.  We made the decision to put this into God's hands, and if we are meant to be parents, it will happen.  Thanks again!  Best of luck!
