Anyone on Puregon/Pregnyal Injections

I am on my 5th cycle of these injections and just wonder if there are any stories, successful or not on ladies that have had a viable pregnancy with having them??? I have had a mc in May 06 and keep getting set back since.  Last month i had 4 follicles releasing, this month so far i have hardle had a reaction and had to up the dose...I am just a little lost thats all and wanting words of encouragment.

so sorry it's so frustrating, but that's the name of the game - TTC should probably really stand for Totally Totally Crazy (at least that's what it makes us). i don't remember from past posts of yours but has your dh been tested? is this what you got pregnant on back in may? thinking of you and hoping it all pays off in a big, really good way, real soon!!

I don't have a story but my fertility doc said if I wanted to start injections I could. At first we thought dh sperm count was low but after a couple tests he's actually in the higher range. I ovulate on my own and everything seems to check out normal with both dh and I so we are doing natural IUI (no drugs) for at least 3-6 months before injectables.  I don't mean to get personal but is there a specific reason why they put you on Puregon/Pregnyal??  Like Age, DH Sperm, hostile mucus.  I'm interested in hearing others stories like you.  Thanks:) and lots of baby dust!

Thanks both of you for posting.  Dh and I did fall pregnant on then injections back in March and mc in May.  We had 3 rounds of clomid previous which didnt make me ovulate (thats the main cos of why I cant get pregnant) then a step up from that is the injections whii I had 2cycles b4 getting pregnant.  The injections maunally feed your body with the hormones puregon is FSH and Pregnyal is HCG and it is the lower doses of what an IVF clinic would give so bcos this manually feeds it is a tracked so closely and you can keep injecting till ovualation occurs, keep uping the dose if the response is not going well and then you shuld ovulate.  This went really well last month with 4 follicles but I didnt fall pregnant and this month next to nothing at all :(

DH has been tested for spermies count and passed with flying colours but that was a year ago.  We have both agreed to get him tested again if this cycle dont eventuate.

i really hope this one's the charm, but don't hesitate to get him tested. i got pregnant twice (once on own just with monitoring and once with letrazole and iui - both m/c) and dh's sperm was obviously okay, but since 2nd m/c and trying sperm count getting lower and lower that's why we're now onto trying ivf. he went to a urologist and no answers as to why sperm count getting lower - we're in the unexplained category. dr. says it can happen sometimes and then eventually can go back to normal, but we don't want to keep trying and waiting for it to go back. good luck. keep me posted.

I just finished another round of Puregon injections (with clomid,trigger and IUI)I am 7dpo IUI, but the doc. is prety confident that it will work.I had 6 good follies and the sperm looked good. So I don't have a sucess story yet but maybe I"ll get my BFP next week. What was your dose? Mine was 100mg of clomid(day 3-7) and 60mg of puregon(day 5-11)

Wow fingers crossed for you Sweetie.  I am just on puregon starting day2 of cycle at 100mg but as of tuesday bcos of no response so far it is up to 125mg..then wen reponse happens and i have follicles reaching 20-22mm in length he gives me a shot of pregnyl.....I am going tomorrow for my next scan to see if i have any reactions do there yet!!! SOOOOOOO scared.  Wish me luck.

hi i have been on gonal-f 150IU for 7days and pregnyl 10000.im waiting for a test in 2-3days.well last time i tried the same protocol but i m/cd 2weeks preg.But u c things arent the same for everyone.Its all in the hands of God.But i hope it works for u.Good luck.

hi all im on iui previously had 3 rounds of clomid but that didnt really make me get any follicles 1 if i was lucky..
now im on or going to start puregon 50 mg to start off with but nurse told me to start them on day 8 then keep doing it everynight asnd going for scans to see if this is working .
has anyoen else done 50 mg starting from day 8

Hi im on puregon i have just been increased to 100 but im on day  17 now and nothing! back in august i was on 75 and 2 folicles were produced but no pregnancy!! its so hard to stay positive but the hospital are optimistic it will work, im healthy eating and all the rest and we are hoping this year will be the one!! good luck to you all x
