Anyone taken prometrium or clomid??

Hi ladies, I've been reading a lot on these boards, but haven't really posted that much.  I enjoy your wisdom!
My question is this:  I just finished up prometrium today(200mg 2x/day) and am waiting for AF so I can start clomid (50mg days 5-9).
Does anyone have any idea on approx. how long it will take me to get AF after stopping the progesterone?
And also, why do some women take clomid on days 3-7 and others on days 5-9?
I have suffered from irregular periods for as long as I can remember.  They were only regular when I was on BCP.
We've been TTC for nearly 8 months now, so hopefully this clomid will "kick start" my body into ovluating.

You should start your period within 10 days of the last pill.

From my research, it's really Dr.'s preference as to 3-7 or 5-9. I take it 5-9. My Dr. refuses to give it any earlier then that.

I to have suffered irregular cycles for about 10 yrs, that'w why the clomid for me also. First month at 50mg, I ovulated on CD17, Second cycle at 100mg, I Ovulated on CD18 so it is DEFINETLY shortening up the cycles!!!  :)

Be prepared for hot flashes and headaches though. Everyone is different, but those are the main two that I experienced. Funny thing was when I took 100mg, I didn't have as many side effects as with the 50mg....

LAST MONTH I HAD TO TAKE THE PROMETRIUM 200MG/DAY FOR TEN DAYS WHEN I GOT TO MY LAST PILL MY CYC STARTED AND CLOMID I TAKE THAT TO I JUST FINISHED THE FIRST CYC I TOOK THAT ON DAYS 5-9 I WAS ON 100MG BUT I DID NOT OVULATE MY DOCTOR WOULD NT GIVE IT ANY EARLIER WHICH I AM GLAD BECAUSE FOR ME I AM STILL BLEEDING ON CYC DAYS 3-5 AND ON DAYS 5-9 I AM FINISHING UP ON DAY 6 GOOD LUCK I AM LIKE U TOO I ONLY HAVE REGULAR PERIODS IF I AM ON BCP BE PREPARED FOR THE HOT FLASHES/HEADACHES BUT IT IS WORTH IT KEEP ME POSTED
