Appetite Increase???

When does appetite increase during pregnancy? Is it early in pregnancy or later? I am 5 weeks, and sometimes I feel like I do not want anything to eat and other times I eat alot.

My appetite just started increasing a week ago at 17 weeks. I only gained a pound in the first trimester because I was so sick but now I've gained 3 more.

Everyone is different.  I was hungry immediately when I was pg but for totally different things than usual.  I couldnt get enough fresh fruit and chicken.  I wound up weighing less right after birth than before becoming pg.  Just listen to your body and eat when you are hungry.  Your baby will let you know.  Congrats on your pregnancy!!

i was starving the first three weeks
after that I was sick or had an infection
now at 26 weeks my appetite has waned

My appetite depends, but in the mornings I am famished!  It seems every 2 hours I am hungry again, though I do not eat much... my eyes are bigger than my stomach :)  Plus, I am also hungring after foods I normally wouldn't touch- like steak!  I am 8 wks pregnant so it probably varies on the pregnancy- the last time I was pregnant, I didn't have an appetite at all.
