Are blighted ovums and food poisoning connected?

by breeg140, Nov 30, 2006 12:00AM
I have had two blighted ovums. One was in 2002 the other just recently. I've had 1 child in between and 2 before. I remember having food poisoning both times around 6-7 weeks of pregnancy. Is there a link between blighted ovums and food poisoning or is it a chromosomal issue?
Ive read some other posts about blighted ovums and wanted to say a few things. There are other options than D&C and and the pfizer thing. I had a u/s at 11 weeks and they found just a sac. They suggested D&C or wait and see. I decided to wait and see. Theres an herb called false unicorn that will help your body keep the baby if its healthy or will help expell it if its not. Theres another herb called **** Quai that will help once you've started miscarrying. It helps you to contract and is a natural herb to help things along naturally, without medical interference and ten people staring at your personals.

Hi:

So sorry you have to go through this.

I've had 3 BOS, and 3 other early MCs.  My doc (an RE at Stanford) says they are almost always caused by genetic problems.

No connection between BO and food poisoning, it is a genetic problem.

And stop eating wherever you ate the two times you had food poisoning (hope it wasn't at home)lol

Good luck.

I too know that they are caused by genetic problems. Also I have been told that food poisoning cannot harm your baby as he is fully protected.

How unlucky to have two. They say that it is rare to have more than one. Maybe you should ask for further tests to be done to rule out any gentic problem on both you and your partners side.

Good luck and hopefully you will have some good news soon.
