Are hospital urine tests more accurate than home pregnancy tests?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew how accurate hospital urine pregnancy tests are?  I would only be 9 days past conception and I have the symptoms of pregnancy ie: nausea, heartburn, fatigue, bloated, and tender breasts that are lactating.  I went to the hospital with another matter and had them do a test that came back negative.  I just don't know if I should believe it or not!

It is still early, and hospital tests are as accurate (urine) as home pregnancy tests depending on the sensitivity that you'd purchase.

Only 9 days past conception is asking a lot of sensitivity from a urine-based pregnancy test.  I have not heard that hospital urine tests are any more sensitive than the early-results kind of home tests.  Wait until day 14 and test with first morning urine using an early-results test.  Good luck!

i was a week late when i went to have a test done. i had already done a home test and got BFP, but the nurse told me that their tests are just the same, maybe less accurate, and sure enough it was negative.

my urine test in the hospital showed negtive but i had already taken home pregnency tests and they showed positive so i told the doctor about that so they took a bllod test and found a postive hormone hcg so dont always pay attention to the hospital urine tests the blood tests count

I was in the er last week and diagnosed eventually with costocondritis. To get to my eventual diagnosis they had to rule out heart attack, blood clot in my lungs or stress fracture in my chest. Any way to get pass the ppsssibles I just listed I was given something to numb my esophogus, Demerol for the pain, a chest xray, and a ct scan. Before they could so any of that they took a urine sample to test if I was pregnant. Hours later through the confusion one nurse yelled down the hall I think it was negative and another drove me over to get my tests...anyway a week later here I am up wondering after looking at my calender realizing I'm eight days late... My problem is in having a ct scan. If I am pregnant how's that radiation going to affect my unborn? Would anyone else be beating them selves up for not thinking about asking for a blood test instead? My husband and I have been trying for three monthsand that's why they took a urine sole in the first place.... It's only because the nurse had asked me prior to xray if I could be pregnant and I said it's possible. Should I have asked for a blood test instead.? What if I am pregnant and my baby has defects... Would that be on me?

I am on seasonique. And, I started throwing up daily so I stopped taking my pills expecting to have a period immediately since the seasonique makes it so I haven't had one in three months, my period has never been late (except when I was pregnant with my first) but anyways. I went to the hospital and got a urine test and it was negative but it has been two weeks and still no period. I'm so confused.

I done 4 home pregnancy tests all + . Was experiencing a little bleeding last week and went for a scan .... She said she cudnt c anythin bcz i was eitha so early on.in pregnancy or due a period :/ as my cervix was closed . I was already bleeding bfore scan so if i was pregnant and having a m/c wudnt my cervix b open ???? Confused .... Done a tesy at hospital and came bk negative .... Mayb bcz i am / was so early ????? Ithis was 4 days ago and i hve the feeling i am still pregnant despite being told i was miscarrying bcz i was bleeding but its confusing me bcz cervix was shut .... Pls help or is it me wishful thinking xx
