Are mild cramps every once and awhile okay?

by Allie1980, Feb 06, 2007 12:00AM
Hey there.....it seems like I have mild cramps every once and awhile and they scare me....  I might lean over funny and feel them....or when I'm really tired I feel them.  Last week I didn't have them and then yesterday and today I have them...

I hate feeling this way....  Do you think it's normal?

I'm 14 weeks and found out I was 9 weeks. Before finding out I had alot of AF like cramps and up until about 2 weeks ago i felt it. So much as into one day I was bawling my eyes out because I have NO pain tolerance. It litterally felt as though AF was here and she wasn't Neadless to say everything is good with the baby so far. So Cramping is okay, I think-everyone is diffeent unless accompanied by ALOT of pain or bleeding. It's the way of your uterus growing. and I don't know if you follow with any pregnancy e-mail-[pregnancy weekly] is good. but your uterus is about the size of a grapefruit so.. imagine.. that's gotta hurt from a small pear shaped thing lol.. best of luck:)

Hey, Allie.  You're fine, cramping is normal.  Your body is stretching.  You need to stop worrying so much.  It's not healthy for you and the baby.  I'm paranoid with two previous losses but you're WAY more paranoid than me and that just can't be good.  Just enjoy your pregnancy!  It goes by so fast and if you worry about every little thing every little second you're going to miss how great being pregnant is.  Just a little advice... (((HUGS)))

Allie...I too have the cramp thing going on.  It scares me too.  I have had two previous MC...I still feel like AF is going to come any minute.  I check everytime I go to the bathroom.  I am trying to stay calm too.  I am5 weeks 4days.  I had more bloodwork done today to make sure the # are still going up.  I have a sono on thurs...Wish me luck!!  Good Luck to you!!!!

Allie, I'm glad you asked this question cuz I was just wondering the same thing today. I'm very early still, not even 4 weeks but I have cramped right along since ovulation. I was wondering when cramping is supposed to end but it does make sense that you will continue to cramp as uterus stretches.

I know it's so hard not to worry. I refuse to even tell anyone that I'm pg yet for fear that things will not go right :(

You are doing fine and need to relax.  Cramps are pretty normal, they will go away to be replaced by backaches, round ligament pain etc....My back is killing me right now.  33 weeks only about 7 more to go and I am still a nervous wreck.  I guess most of us here are as we've been down the m/c route.  I am glad you saw a nice strong hb on the ultrasound and please try to relax. Is this the furthest you have gotten yet in your pregnancy?
