Are there any military wives who have had to move during preg?

My husbands in the military and we just got word that we will be moving in a few mo. Just wondering if anyone else had to do this and if it was difficult finding a new dr so fast. Thanks

I wasn't preggo when I moved, but found out a week later that I was. Its not hard to change providers. You just need to goto the Tricare office in the new area(and if its a big move, change tricare locations) and get set up, when you do that they can refer you to an OB. You also want to keep the # of your old docs. office to call them once you move to get your records transferred.

DH and I moved when I was about 7 months pregnant and I had no trouble at all......
I went from a civilian doc to a military doc though.....wasn't like I had much of a choice or a hard time finding him.....all I had to do was go to the hospital.
If you are not going to be using the hospital on post you might have a bit more trouble as TriCare (in my experience) hates for you to use a civilian doctor.
They can't deny you if you are too far from the post though.....I think 100 miles is our limit here with the Army.
As steph already said......just go to your new TriCare office and they should be able to get you set up.......or if you aren't going to be close to the post you can do it by phone, just takes a bit longer.
