Ashtyn Update....9 Month Check-Up

Well, Ashtyn weighs in at 18 lbs 5 1/2 oz, putting him in the 20th percentile. His length is 27 1/2 inches, putting him in the 15th percentile. Don't remember his head circumfrince but it was in the 45th percentile. He is not waving bye bye or clapping and his ped thinks he should be doing that, so we really need to work on that. Also, she told me no stage 3 foods until he is a year because she considers his eating ability to be about 2-3 months behind. Other than that, she said he is very healthy:)

I'm so glad to hear that he is doing well! Babies do things at different rates---he sounds just fine to me.He is really cute--I love the picture of him laughing at the store on your profile. I don't remember his whole story--was he a preemie? If you don't feel like explaining it again that's okay. I just can't remember if I ever knew what his struggles were.
Again, he is darling and I am very happy he is healthy and well!

He sounds great!

My 9 mo preemies aren't clapping or waving bye-bye either.  I wouldn't worry too much about that.  My older daughter (full term) didn't do it until she was at least 10-11 months.  I think she finally picked it up after watching sesame street (elmo was her favorite!--LOL!)

My fiances boss just had twins and they were a month early and were both under 3 pounds when they were born.  That so tiny!

I personally think that Ashtyn is doing great!!! He is army crawling EVERWHERE...so who cares if he claps or waves lol....decided I don't care anymore about him being behind...we will continue working on it, but I have stressed over too much that ended up being nothing!!!!

He sounds great!  DD didn't clap or wave bye bye either until she was at least 11 months old.  I don't consider her delayed ;)  Happy to hear the great news :)
