well from what i have heard if the baby is the same blood type as her then it is okay but most who are negative blood types need to have some kindof needle..in order to help them carry the baby:S maybe someone can help you more
i agree with cheyenne_08 she needs to get the rhogamRhogam Rhogam ultra-filtered plus shot. my mother has o- and she had to get it with every one of us.(3girls) i believe it has something like rhRh incompatibility- if that sounds right?? hope it helps.
Your daughter does not have to have rhogamRhogam Rhogam ultra-filtered plus if the baby's father is also a negative blood type (doesn't matter which, so long as it is negative). RHRh incompatibilityFactorFactor ix complex is when the mom's antibodies attack the baby as "foreign" in her body. But if the baby is also of negative blood type, baby will be fine!
Yeah, most of the time docs don't ask about the father because some girls have like ten guys who *could* be the father. But unless you know 100% that your hubby/partner is the daddy, def. let the doc know and they will take that into consideration!!! So Cheyenne, if you get preggo again and your partner is also negative, you don't have to have the shot. I did some research on this a while ago because a woman had a similar question! I can find you some resources if you'd like!
i found a site hope it helps...
Rhogam isn't given until the 2nd trimester.
