BABY CONSTIPATION

MY DAUGHTER IS 2MONTHS OLD AND SINCE SHE AHD BEEN BORN HAS VERY BAD CONSTIPATION, TONIGHT SHE IS SCREAMING WITH PAIN, WE HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING... LAXITIVES, BOTH ORAL AND SPOSITRIES,   COOLED BOILED WATER, PLEASE CAN YOU HELP AS BOTH HER AND MYSELF ARE SO TIRED FROM LACK OF SLEEP

Try infant probiotics.  They are really good for making the baby's stomach more able to digest all parts of her food.

Also, I assume you gave laxatives on the pediatrician's recommendation?  If so, talk to the same pedi about maybe changing the baby's formula if she is on formula.  If she is breastfeeding, see about what things in your diet might be causing her to block up.

my baby had very bad constipation two differengt times at around 6 weeks and 8 weeks
he was crying and very heart breaking to see him in pain..so i called a nursing line they told me to give him 1 oz(only l) of prune(preferebly) juice if not apple or o white grape juice (all np sigar add/unsweatened) between feedings, they told me if that doesnt work to give him a teaspoon of cornsyrup..so i went for unsweetened prune juice it really helped.in addition they told me to gently give a massage clockwise around his belly area and so
so the prune juice really helped a lot..but around 8 weeks he got another constipation and i tried prune jucie and he knew the taste and he refused after and half an oz however try it if not apple or white grape juce..dont mix it with the formula only by itself try that one ...but the cornsyrup i didnt try it

yeah i changed her food already and it seemed to help. it breaks myheart to see her in so much pain. was thinking of taking her to the hospital. see i have two other kids but there is a 12 yr gap between my baby and my youngest so its lke starting all over again.

u know what i give my baby the 1 oz prune at 6 weeks and he was okay and the prune juic e really helped  as u said i was afraid to give him a juice at 6 wks so i called back again at the centre to get a second opinion...so they told me to do it ..i am in living in canada..so different aspect of treating things so give unsweetened apple juice only 1oz if u are really afraid give only half oz

My son had to have straight 2 oz of Apple prune 2x a day no diluting or anything it was so bad...

my son had bad constipation since birth and still fights it today at 15 mos. The things that were recomended by our doc were puting a teaspoon of DARK corn syrup in the formula up to 4 times daily. it seemed to work for a few weeks but then stopped. then we were told to give him prune juice straight, it worked until he figured out it was gross, then they at just 8 weeks old put him on colace. We took him off of the colace at 4 mos and he seemed to do fine on his own for a bit then at about 8 mos it came back and we were told gerber pear juice. we tryed it just a half ounce at a time and it worked wonders. he still gets two ounces a day to keep things going. But if you give to much it is a mess. And our doc said it is a little easier on their tummies and tends to taste better.

i consulted my dr yesterday as ly daughter got her 2month needles and she said under no way to give her prune juice, i am grateful to u for ur advice but i think i will try the apple juice first, had very bad night last night, she was screaming that much i actulay creid as i feel usless cos i cant take her pain away
