BABY IS 8 WEEKS 1 DAY-BUT GIGANTIC CYST BY BABY-W/VERY HIGH HB

Hi everyone! I saw my baby's ultrasound yesterday. It was beautiful, and hearing Hb was exciting. I am 8 weeks and 0 days as of yesterday. I am worried a little because the nurse said a normal HB is 80-120 and my baby's Hb is 170. Can be due to stress and overwork? Also, a bulging cyst (looks like it's about to pop!) that is almost 2x the size of my uterus is an "area of concern" and they want me back in 10 days. Has anyone dealt with cyst, can they remove, drain? Also, how about the high HB? I am trying to calm down. Besides the fact that I am alone and father is denying baby, and I have no family anywher remotely close, and and facing being homeless after my crooked builder took off with my $25k deposit. (plus the contractors that were going to forclose on my property because they were not paid either, I had to put 45K on my credit cards to pay them) Can all of that stress be damaging my baby? I'm scared, can anyone reply?? Thank you, Denise

At 9 weeks my baby's heartbeat was 170. At around 5-6 weeks it is closer to 100. It goes up from there and then the average heartrate is between 120-180.

I am sorry but I don't know anything about the cyst. I don't think I would worry about the heartrate though.

HEY GIRL!! your baby's HB sounds good.. You are very lucky that you got to hear it.  :-)  It will be a little higher i guess, ive read stories that the baby has a high Hb.. that is a lot better then a low one!  As far as your stress level goes, it wont kill you to slow down and relax.  Did you have a contract with the builder who ran away with your money?? if so, then you can sue his a**.  Where is the cyst??

the heartbeat sounds good, my baby was 160 at 8w and most of the earlier appts, my doc told be the range is 80-180
(big range huh) as far as the cyst if it is inside your vagina they will probably wait until you deliver and then remove it, they didnt talk to you about it?and on to the stress, i am so sorry all of his is happening... i do think stress plays a role on your unborn child but if you cant help it than you cant help it...just try to relax as much as possible..

the first time i hear my 4 year old son's heartbeat, it was 180.  probably just before 10 weeks or so.  then it leveled out to about 140.  he was 9lbs 3 oz and wonderfully healthy when he was born.  good luck with you.

My friend just had a house built. Hers is almost finished.. she should be in it in a few weeks.. but the stuff she went through getting it built!! Plus she was pg during that too and it stressed her out bigtime.  They kept upping their prices too.  They delayed building because of whatever reasons.  She was due in november (healthy baby boy) and she orignally thought the house would be done by october just in time for her to bring the baby home!! BUT they didnt, and she had to live with her MIL which caused even more stress.  WELL now that baby is 2 months old and their house is almsot done they are very excited.  I am sorry you got short changed by the builders.. What can be done about your cyst?? that sounds like it is very big.  OUCH!!

hey! Thank you so much for writing me back! I feel alot better about the whole high HB thing. Thank you so much for making me feel better. I think my stress level went down just from that!

It was the nurse practictioner who did the test. I go back in 10 days to see the actual doctor. No offense to the guy docs, but this is the first time I had all women for everything, and they REALLY are alot more gentle and in tune with how things feel. Males are rough and too mechanical, but it was a comfort with the females, what a difference. The cyst seems like it is next to my uterus, about 2 cm over. The concern she said was because it was so full and so round and bulging. I think it's been there for about 3 years. Had a little one same spot, but never went back to Dr. after what happened (botched termination) so it's my fault for not getting it checked sooner.

Staci, hey back to you girly girl! Not to go on bout unrelated stuff, but I did have a solid contract, but after hurricanes they added a fake page to contract (no sig. of course) and added 100K to the price of the home. They cant do that, but I have spent already 40K in atty. fees fighting them, they still refuse to build, and even if I win, which I will, they are claiming bankruptcy so I get squat, left with 85K in bills and no house!!! That's why I have to calm down and take one day at a time. im so mad that I try to do everything the right way and seem to get screwed all the time, mostly for stuff I am not the cause of.

Just like Pavlov's dog, whenever I start to access this website, I get nauseas, because that's how I felt all of the time when i started to write/read on this website. Isn't that funny!! I am glad for your friend for almost being settled. Blessings to her family!!! And I don't know whats up w/ the cyst, but it does hurt, too. I am going back on the 10th, at 9:45am. I wish I could send a picture to show you. I do see on the post a question page that you can't give out personal email addresses (for people reviewing this...how come?) I did get one other email adress from another girl who's real nice before we realized that (you know who you are girl ;-)) but it would be nice if I could send that in. Everyone here who saw it either said "whoa!" or "Oh, my God!"

Another thing, did anyone else out there have trouble sleeping? I cant get more than 3-4 hrs a night sleep, and it is killing me. Maybe it's anxiety, I don't know. I will keep everyone posted!! I'm gonna call my Dr. now and ask if I can take 1 tylenol pm at night.  xoxox  Denise

Hi I am 8 weeks on monday.  at 4 weeks i had my first ultrasound and they found a cyst 4.5cm three days later it doubled in size i was having pressure and was bleeding and they thought it might be eptopic because there was something else there.  I started bleeding and went to the gyn.  She "accidentally" burst my cyst! Which I am sure was even bigger by then.  The pain was unbearable, but now I feel much better.  This might be an idea for you.  I don't know how large yours is but they told me if they get too big they can twist and you may have even more pain.  THey didn't seem worried though about the cyst hurting the baby.
