BFP with Pre-Seed!!

Hi everybody! Sorry this is long, but wanted to give details to those of you who appreciate them! ;-)

I've been ttc since April, used OPK's the last two months & tried Pre-Seed for the first time last month. Although I can not be 100% sure that the pre-seed is what helped, I am almost certain it did. (along with elevating my hips for around 30 minutes after BDing)

Since last Thu, I have tested 7 times! LOL My first test on Thu came up negative. My test Fri came up with a very, very faint +, so faint that I thought I was fooling myself.I took another one that afternoon that also had a VERY faint +. Saturday,I tested again, & it also had a faint positive, but darker than the ones before. Sunday, I tested with FMU, and got a nice positive, but tested AGAIN later in afternoon (I had not only used the bathroom twice during the 3 hour period, but also drank a glass of water) & my test showed a solid positive! My hubby then had me take ONE more this morning, & it showed a +, too! The lines vary in intensity, but are not faint at all. AF is supposed to arrive today (tomorrow at the latest).

I had light dizziness Thursday, extreme dizziness on Saturday, & almost wondered if I was simply having an inner ear problem, as I have suffered with that in the past. But I have also had terrible cramps since Fri, which is not normal for me. I normally have strong cramps during my heaviest AF day, & mild, if any cramps afterward. Sometimes I may feel some light cramps a few days before, but this has been a consistent cramping, especially when I lay down at night or over-exert myself.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!! So exciting. Happy nine months. I also used pre-seed and the first month using it I got my BFP. I believe it does help.

What is pre-seed?

by mommie2, Aug 14, 2006 12:00AM
pre-seed is like ky jelly but it is sperm friendly. It helps in vaginal moisture to help the little guys get wher they need to be.

I got my BFP on the 10th tested four times - all say the same.  I had a m/c in June and had one af and now she is staying away.

by Tasha456, Aug 14, 2006 12:00AM
Pree-seed is a lubricant that promotes the transfer of sperm through your cervix.

I just ordered some myself.. cause I had noticed that I tend to have a "dry" problem so I figured that if I have to use lubricant it better be something that helps us!!

CONGRATS !!

by Hope2OneDay, Aug 14, 2006 12:00AM
To: diamond
It is a lubricant that is specially formulated to NOT kill sperm, and to let the little fellows live longer in the cervix.
Apparently, all the BDing during ttc can cause a woman to either become drier without realizing it, or change the quality of her cervical mucous.

Check it out on this site:

Free shipping, and 2 free HPT strips!

Hi Kris, did you have a period in between your m/c and BFP? if you did, how long did it last, and when did you O in that cycle?
Just to see where i could be standing with my situation...
Congratulations to you tooooo!!!!! =))

Thanks for all the well wishes! Of course, I'm now anxious about the whole "first trimester" ordeal. But I will just pray daily, and try to stay positive that all will be well.

Kris- Congrats to you, too! I will keep you in my prayers for a healthy, troublefree, pregnancy!

I'm so glad to hear that you two got pregnant with pre-seed as well! I do believe it is what ultimately helped! I wish the best for you both! ;-)

Is pre-seed the only TTC safe lubricant out there? Is it ok to use Oils like the KY jelly oils at drug stores?

by mommie2, Aug 14, 2006 12:00AM
Ky is not sperm friendly - and pre seed is the only one I know of.

by jen_KE, Aug 14, 2006 12:00AM
Preseed didn't work for us as of last month (the first month we tried it), but we did us  it a few times this month so we'll see :)  Just for the fact that it's so hard to bd a million times and not get dry - Preseed is great to use when you need it.  I've also been trying Robitussin 3 times a day (just plain Robitussin, not the kind with any antihistimines)to help make mucus more thin and easier for spermies to get through.  I've read Robitussin helps in many fertility books - but again we'll wait and see this month...

I had my m/c on June 16th.  I bleed for 15 days, got a BFN on July 10th and got af on July 14th.  I Oed on the 24th and got my BFP on the 10th

My af lasted 7 days and was very heavy.

by babyz, Aug 14, 2006 12:00AM
So you when were your first symptoms?  Did you feel much of anything the week right after you O'ed?  I'm in my 2WW now and am not feeling a thing.  I am somewhat bloated and eating more like AF is about to come.  I just didn't know if the pregnancy symptoms would be any different.  Thanks and CONGRATULATIONS!!  I might have to order some pre-seed now!

I was using KY originally, before I read about pre-seed. I thought "I have been wasting SO much time by using that...If only I'd known!"

I used 3 tubes BEFORE my actual O day, because I knew approx when I would O. And when my OPK came up +, I used it two more times (that morning, and at night). I actually felt my myself ovulate around lunchtime that day, so I really hit it close!

I don't know if it was ALL due to the pre-seed, but it definitely helped. I also made sure to alternate positions... missionary one day, from behind the next...I know, TMI! LOL But they say these two positions are great for getting the little fellows as deep as possible.
Then I'd elevate my hips immediately and RELAX while I read a book or watched tv for about 30 minutes. (They say laying for 15 to 20 is plenty, but I wasn't taking any chances!)

Thanks girl.  I need all the prayers I can get.  I went to a baby shower on Saturday.  Although I'm happy for them I was frustrated that I was at another baby shower that wasn't mine.  But hey my time will come.

To: Everybody/ Projectbaby/Pre-Seeders
Everybody- Thanks again...and I'll be keeping ALL of you in my prayers to keep the preggers safe and healthy, and to bless the ttc's with a BFP!

Projectbaby- I REALLY hope this works for you before you have to go through IVF! I will keep you in my prayers! (Yeah, Pre-Seed owes me, right? But what are they gonna give me? A lifetime supply, so I can try to keep popping babies out? LOL)

--Pre-seeders--

I don't know if you saw any of my other posts, but here is the play-by-play of what I did different last month, just in case it was a combination of different things...not just the pre-seed! :-) (be prepared for TMI LOL)...

1. I knew from the O predictor on babyhopes.com my "expected" date of O. I discovered 2 months ago that I O 2 days earlier than the date they gave.

2. If you know when you're supposed ovulate, use pre-seed two or three times BEFORE your O day...first thing in the morning. Or perhaps every OTHER day leading UP to your supposed O day. I always test early in the am (around 6 am). This way, we can BD as EARLY in the morning as possible.(because we are both relaxed from sleeping all night, AND because men have a higher sperm count in the am...plus he leaves for work at 7! ;-)

3. We alternated positions. I've heard of women having a tilted uterus, and since I have no idea if I do, we would BD missionary one day, then from behind the next.

4. I would elevate my hips afterward with a couple of pillows. If it was early in the am, I just went back to sleep when  possible for another 30 or 40 min. If it was in the evening, I would do the same, then relax while reading or watching tv for 30 min.

4. When I got my OPK +, we BD missionary that morning, then from behind that evening...using pre-seed of course.

5. Altogether, I only used 5 tubes of my pre-seed.

6. I thought this was something that had to be done AFTER you conceive, but one of the biggest things I did while ttc last month was lay off caffeine as much as possible, as it tends to affect ovulation (and increases the risk of late first or second trimester miscarriages, should conception occur). I drank decaf tea and water...with the occasional Sprite, Pepsi or caffeine-free Coke. I don't drink coffee, thank goodness...so that wasn't a problem!

OK, That's really all I can think of that I did differently and consistently last month.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU! :-) ~*~*~*~*~*~*~
