it is very early to start your period but it's not unheard of. Are you breastfeeding? If not, then it's much more usual.

I am nursing and my own OB told me that I could bleed off and on for as long as 10 wks.

However, nursing or not, it is normal (according to my OB) to bleed off and on for about 6 wks.

I wouldn't worry unless it is the amount of a menstrual cycle. If it is, call your own OB and just mention it to him/her. At the most they will want to see you, at the least will say it's normal. Either way, at least you'll feel better about it. With a new baby, you have ENOUGH to worry about!
