I AM 37 YEARS OLD AND HAD A C-SECTION DEC 12--MY DOCTOR PUT ME BACK ON BIRTH CONTROLControl Control rx JAN 2--AND OK'D INTERCOURSECauses of painful intercourse Sexual intercourse - painful BEGINNING JAN 5TH--I STARTED BLEEDING VAGINALLY ON JAN 9TH AN IT HASN'T STOPPED--WHEN I CALLED MY DOCTORS OFFICE THEY SAID IT WAS PROBABLY MENSTRUAL-IS THIS NORMALNormal saline flush--TO BLEED SO SOON AFTER JUST RESUMING THE PILL. I FEEL FINE AND AM NOT EXPERIENCING ANY PAIN OR DISCOMFORT JUST FREAKED OUT FROM THE BLEEDING.
I am nursing and my own OB told me that I could bleed off and on for as long as 10 wks.
However, nursing or not, it is normalNormal saline flush (according to my OB) to bleed off and on for about 6 wks.
I wouldn't worry unless it is the amount of a menstrual cycle. If it is, call your own OB and just mention it to him/her. At the most they will want to see you, at the least will say it's normalNormal saline flush. Either way, at least you'll feel better about it. With a new baby, you have ENOUGH to worry about!
