Baby Girl name opinion

We found out about 2 months ago that we're expecting a girl!  About a month ago we ran across the name Shaelyn or Shaylyn in a name book.  Both of us liked it a lot and we've been using it ever since.  We decided if we name her Shaelyn her middle name will be Avery.  What do you all think of the name?  

Also, before that we considered the names:

Maya, and Shelby.  Which one of the three do you like the best?

i love the middle name Avery, it is my oldest son's middle name ; ) At the same time I was pg with him I ran into another pg lady who was naming her daughter avery, we both got a kick out of it. We had both come up with our baby names well before we met and one day we happened to be discussing it and it turns out we chose the same name.

Yeah, I would love the name Avery as a first name but my husband wasn't too fond of it.  But he agreed to use it as a middle name :o)

I personally love the name Maya my friends 3 year old daughter is Maya and its just such a pretty name...I like your other names to but Maya is my favorite!

I think the name Shaylyn Avery sounds great.  Avery is my niece's name, and I have always liked it.  I also love the name Maya, that was one of my first choices.

I love the Name Avery!!! Your little girl's name is beautiful! If I was having a girl ( I don't know until 4 more weeks the sex!), I wanted to name her Avery but my DF didn't agree on it. We have finally decided on Zoe Lorelai! We still haven't agreed on a boy's name yet...lol! Congrats!!!! :)

I think it sounds beautiful.  I have a friend naming her baby Shae Mariah.  I thought that was pretty too.

I love that name.  Funny I named my first DD Kaelyn.  Just fell across it in the baby book.
sounds good with avery.
Im now struggling with a name for my next DD due in Feb.  Grueling process.  lol

I had a friend who named her girl  Shalee Grace. I thought it was pretty. I teach, and there is a girl in my class named Avery. Beautiful name!!

that is my dogs name spelled shayln.  i name my pets cutsy girly names.  i love it.

Thanks for all the compliments!  Shaelyn is a somewhat unique name so that's why I wanted to see peoples reaction to it.  I've always been paranoid about naming my child something that the majority of people don't like.

I'm 99.99% sure her name will be Shaelyn Avery!

I like the name.  My name is Shea,( like Shea statum) so of course I think you should name her Shealyn Avery!
