Baby Ill After Switch To Cows Milk

Right I tried switching my 12 month old to cows milk 2 weeks ago, we gave her cows milk for breakfast, and then formula for her afternoon and evening bottle. All through the week she had loose stools and her excma started to get bad. Sunday evening (a week after starting) had bad diarrhea, Monday we stopped the cows milk and now she still has yellow diarrhea like new baby and is refusing to eat any meals other than some jelly and special baby crisps, when before she would eat anything and had a good appetite. I took her to the doctor who said he thinks its an allergy to cows milk and could take another 2 weeks for the diarhea (diarrhea) to settle and appetite to return. Has anyone else been through this and does 2 weeks sound about right? I am at my wits end, sorry for the long post!

My mother told me I had an allergy to cow's milk when I was little but that was about 33yrs ago. They have new products now that help tremendoulsy but for me she had to use goat's milk. Gross as it sounds she said it worked but said it took nearly a month after exposure to cow's milk to get over the irritating symptoms. Funny thing is I drink cow's milk all the time now...lol. No allergy symptoms whatsoever. I think it depends on her cuz everyone gets thru things differently.

I hope she gets better soon..sounds like she is miserable   =(
