Baby Mustela-Eczema

Hi ladies, my 3-month old boy has eczema and his skin feels so rough.  Have you all use baby Mustela products?  Do they work? I have tried literally all the eczema cream there is in the market.  Even Arbonne doesn't help.  Any tips or advise?
Thanks, Dolly

i had eczema as a baby & child & teenager... and always used Eucerin.  Have you tried Eucerin?  I dont know if there are newer things on the market to help, but Eucerin always helped me.

My baby is 9 weeks and had eczema really bad.  I finially got her face mostly clear and smooth by using a eczema cream at Wal-Mart in the baby section.  I do not remember the name off hand for I am at work but it comes in a blue tube with the Baby Disney Characters on it.  That is the only thing that worked on her.  They also have a soap from the same company.  I also started washing our clothes in a dye free and sent free detergent and fabric softener.  Hers of coarse I wash in Dreft.  Hope this helps.

None of those lotions really worked on my son, who has had exzema (eczema) since he was born.  My dr finally noticed it at an appt and now every time I take him in they give me a mixture of hydrocortizone and aloe-not completely sure what else is in it.  This works really well and is also free :) ask your dr and they could probably make you something too.

I was born with eczema and its been a problem my whole life..im 22. i can tell you that i dont have many facts about prescriptions, cortizone stuff, antibiotics, steroids, but what i do know is that i would have preferred that my mom hadnt tried these out on me when i was young. i dont blame her of course, but i do wish we had tried something a more natural without sideaffects. i think cortisone thins the skin which if thinned enough can make the skin worse and worse. ive done alot of research and i know theres tons of info that you guys can find. im terrified to have babies becuase i fear that my babies will go through what i went through going up. it was awful. i have found some places that give great info about what to do to help TRY to prevent this. i think a healthy diet would help tremendously. eczema has been popping up alot more than it did when i was young and it has to be because of something we are all doing. it cant be a coincidence. i suggest opting for organic as often as possible, and doing tons of research about the effects of prescribed stuff. i dont feel like the doctors that gave me stuff growing up cared about what i was eating, my allergies, or anything that i was doing that might be making it worse. they just gave me cream that seemed to BLEACH my skin and make it thin. i know it is alot to read here but i hope it helps someone. i'd love to read if it does help. I recently stumbled upon fate; my face was very red and irritated recently and my mom works at a baby store. she was given samples and stuff and one of them was MUSTELA FACIAL CLEANSING CLOTHS they are wonderful. i love them. they are very gentle since they are made for babies so i dont feel like theres anything harmful there. they worked like a charm and immediately after washing my face with one the irritation is soothed and the red disappears for a while. the more often i used it, the quicker it seemed to clear up. i know these are sort of expensive, even though this pack i didnt pay for (lol) so i tear the sheets in half or for a baby you could probably use a fourth of one so that they last alot longer (theres only 25 in my pack) so in fourths thats 100 instead. lol i really hope ive helped at all and i hope you do you your research cuz i have found alot of stuff that i could do when/if i am pregnant to help give my baby more chances of NOT being born with it. Theres tons of info out there i promise. i wish i could remember all that ive read and re write it for you all cuz i know thats the easiest. but i cant remember it all and id have to just make it up. lol so good luck and dont give up searching. please post back if the mustela helps. and please try to use as much natural and as little amounts of ingredients as you can, as im sure it will be much appreciated by your baby in the coming years. i realize that sometimes the prescriptions are the only thing that will work, but i would definately try any natural or not as scary methods first. i wish i knew back when i was young. and i wish the internet was used like it is now. maybe my mom would have known the things i know now about it. all she knew was what the doctors told her, and from what ive researched wasnt very much and wasnt very helpful as i still have recurring eczema and dont exactly know how to keep it under control. Sorry it is so long i just want to be as much help as i can. Thank you for taking the time to read. and GOOD LUCK!

I know how you feel... my second dd had eczema really really bad.. she would cry and cry and wake up with bloody finger tips from scratching till it bleed.   She has some minor scaring on her back from scratching so bad... Her ped tried everything she knew... we used so many creams and gunk and nothing worked...  Thank god at 3 yrs she got accepted to a eczema study with a well known dermatologist and had a 50/50 shot at not getting the placebo.. well she got the real thing and we found our cure...  Triamcinolone acetonide cream USP 0.1%  This has worked like magic and I thank god for it...  it cuts any outbreak short and gets rid of it all... I hope it will work for you...  It is a RX so you need a dr. to perscribe.. good luck
