Babysitting

I will be watching infant twins 3 days a week for 8hrs a day.  I am not sure what to charge.  Any suggestions?

In my neighborhood, the range for two children is $10 to $15 an hour, with a little bit of a premium when they are in diapers.

Your home or theirs? Your home would be less than if you go to theirs. Also depends on your area. In my area, you would probably charge at the very least $15/hr to go to their home.

Thanks for your responses. I will be watching them in their house along with my 2yr old. I hope to come to an agreement on price soon

I would not pay $80 a day for child care. I used to charge $5o a week for one and $90 a week for two in diapers. $75 for two, one in diapers or none. But that was 10+years ago too.

You have to keep in your head the mother has alrady looked for daycare prices to compare so you do the same. Call around. ALso they will have their own beds, toys and routines not like a day care. And no germs! SO take that into account. In home care is worth more even if it is cheaper then daycare.

If it was me I would ask $120 for three days a week for two in diapers. I have kids and would expect to pay that too if I was looking. Don't let them bring the price down by bringing your little one either cuz I brought mine along and they get interaction and the kids love it so it is doing a service not a disservice!!! Lots of things to think about. But you will need to reasure them where your little one will go when sick or if you will not be able to go altogether, as a parent that is something I would think  of if my sitter brought her little one, so answer that before asked.
